Let’s start with the specifics. My name is (obviously) Heather Grosney. I live in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and I do this thing called marketing (as well as communications, content marketing, market research, event planning, public relations, digital marketing and graphic design).
I often look back on my first job after finishing University and College and reflect on where and how my career all started. It didn’t start just because I fell into ‘a job’, the truth is, I can trace my passion for creating, planning and sharing my experiences with the latest music, movies, fashion and products back to my early days of high school when I was Dance Chair on student council (yup, good ol’ student council!).
The experience of planning and advertising my high school dances inspired me to get my Honours Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies and then my Business-Marketing diploma. I took my passion outside of the classroom and wrote for the University newspaper, The Cord Weekly, and worked on the Alumni Relations Team. In college, I completed an internship at the Rogers K-Rock Centre. My classes and experiences solidified my passion to work within the marketing and communications field.
Within South Eastern Ontario, I have worked for post-secondary institutions, non-profits and local businesses. I have also been hired to complete projects for the Toronto District School Board and some local small businesses. My passion, creativity and expertise has been evident through each phase and level of my work.
I am a self-proclaimed geek , but I feel I am lucky that many of the tasks I excel in for work – photography, social media, graphic design, market research and writing – are all hobbies that I enjoy outside of work. In
addition to these hobbies, I am also a huge Toronto Blue Jays fan, I love spending time with my dog Nova, grabbing a meal with friends in downtown Kingston, spending time with my family, playing softball, travelling and working some energy off at the gym.
I encourage you to view my resume to gain full insight into my experience. Please feel free to contact me.

As a diehard Jays fan, I was happy this night when they beat the Yankees.
